In addition to the toothpaste box, you can now also recycle the tube. We have replaced the aluminum internal barrier layer (ABL), which is typically used in the tube laminate, with a recyclable plastic alternative (PBL). In the new tube, we used a thinner laminate (or, in the case of the larger tubes, the same thickness) than the previous types of tubes. So our switch to recyclable plastics means we use less plastic and the tubes are also softer and the paste is easier to squeeze out of them.

How can I recycle this type of tube:

• Simply squeeze out as much toothpaste as possible, screw the cap back onto the tube and throw it in the recycling bin
• The tubes are now made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic.
• It's the same material used to make most shampoo, detergent or skincare bottles, and when it's ready, it goes through the usual plastic recycling process.
