- the Rapid Strep A Test box is a rapid immunochromatographic test, with lateral flow, for the qualitative detection of Strep A antigens in pharyngeal exudate samples, to help diagnose Group A Streptococcus infection.

Remove the test device from the sealed envelope and place it on a clean, dry and flat surface.
Use immediately after opening.
Take the extraction tube pre-filled with reagent.
Make sure that the liquid reagent is at the base of the tube.
If the tube has a protective seal, remove it carefully.
Place the extraction tube in a vertical position in the designated hole in the kit box.
It will serve as a workstation.
Immediately insert the collected pharyngeal exudate sample into the reagent in the vertical extraction tube (in the opening of the box).
Rotate and vigorously shake the pad against the wall of the tube at least 15 times.
Leave the swab in the extraction tube for 1 minute.
Carefully remove the extraction tube from the opening of the box. While removing the swab from the tube, firmly press the end of the swab against the inner wall of the extraction tube and simultaneously squeeze the base of the tube to extract as much liquid as possible from the end of the swab.
Dispose of the swab according to appropriate biohazard waste disposal procedures.
Firmly close the dropper cap on the extraction tube. Immediately invert the extraction tube and hold it vertically above the sample well(S) on the test device.
Add 4 complete drops of the extracted solution to the sample well(S).
Do not touch the box with the tip of the dropper and avoid the formation of air bubbles. Start the timer.
Read the result after 5 minutes.
Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.
Discard the used test box and extraction tube according to local regulations after reading the result.
