Proper teeth cleaning:

Brush your teeth at least twice a day after meals with a high-quality toothbrush and plenty of toothpaste. Place the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums. Use small vibrating motions to remove dirt from the root to the crown of the teeth. Don't forget to clean the inside of the teeth and the biting surfaces of the stools. Replace your toothbrush as soon as it starts to show signs of wear, but no later than three months of use. For healthy teeth and gums, use a toothbrush with straight-cut bristles – fine or very fine. Don't forget a regular visit to the dentist every six months and a preventive treatment by a dental hygienist.
